Weight Loss Encouragement – 6 Great Tips To Keep You Going
Everyone occasionally needs weight loss encouragement as they travel the weight-loss road...a road that can be mighty rough at times. It’s too easy to become discouraged with your weight loss program, and discouragement often leads to giving up just before a great breakthrough. Please, never, never, never give up!
Here are my favorite 6 encouragements to help keep you going strong on your weight loss program and to give you help when you need it most.
Encouragement #1
Having a rough time with your weight loss exercise program? Don’t get discouraged...the weight loss process does get better - and often very quickly! If you have been significantly overweight and inactive for a long time, any activity can seem difficult to you. Be encouraged, it won’t be long before you will be looking forward to exercise. Just keep moving – and you will find each day getting little better!
Encouragement 2
Healthy and lasting weight loss takes time, but be encouraged to know that for each day you exercise and eat properly, you have made progress. You may not be able to see it on that day, but you will see the accumulative results in the weeks to come.
Encouragement #3
Does your exercise routine seem difficult? This weight loss encouragement should make you glad. The whole idea behind exercise is that you push your body to do a little more than it's comfortable with and it responds by making you more physically fit. And as you become stronger each day, the exercises will become easier and more pleasurable to do. So be encouraged, it will get better!
Encouragement #4
Here’ an uplifting suggestion. After you have lost your first 10 pounds on your weight loss program, buy a 10-pound container of lard or shortening. Carry that fat around for 1 day and see how happy you are that you don’t have to carry it around any more because you have lost it from your body.
Encouragement #5
Every day, using a journal, record the positive changes you've noticed in the way you feel and move as a result of your weight loss program.
Keeping track of your weight loss program should include how much you weigh each day and how many exercises you do and how you felt doing them. After a month or so, you can start looking back at the way you were at the beginning, and be encouraged by your improvements.
Encouragement #6
Here is a list of benefits you will receive from exercising on a regular basis:
- You feel better and have more energy
- You are less likely to develop all kinds of diseases
- You sleep better
- Your life seems better, thus you are in a better mood
- Your skin looks better
- You don’t get sick near as often
- You have less fat
- You have more toned muscles
- You look better
- You are healthier
And here’s a bonus built-in weight loss encouragement. Your progress, in itself, will encourage you to keep going. So stick with your weight loss program and never, never, never give up! You will reach your weight loss goals.
